Welcome to Pawtect (“we,” “us,” “our”). By downloading, installing, creating an account on, or otherwise using the Pawtect mobile application (“App”), you agree to abide by these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please discontinue your use of the App immediately.

1.0 Eligibility and Acceptance of Terms

Your use of the App is subject to these Terms as well as our Privacy Policy. You must be at least 13 years of age to use the App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and agree to be legally bound by these Terms.


2.0 Account Registration and User Obligations

To access certain features, you may need to create an account and provide personal information, such as your name, email address, age, and location details.

2.1 Your Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during account creation.
  • Maintain and update your information to keep it accurate and complete.
  • Safeguard your account credentials and notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

2.2 Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to use the App for any purpose that is unlawful, fraudulent, or prohibited by these Terms. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Impersonating any person or entity.
  • Posting harmful, offensive, or illegal content.
  • Attempting to gain unauthorized access to our systems or another user’s account.


3.0 App Features and User-Generated Content

Pawtect allows users to submit and view community-reported hazards, including photos, location-based markers, and descriptions.

3.1 Hazard Data Accuracy

Hazard information is user-generated. We do not guarantee its accuracy, completeness, or reliability. Your reliance on this information is at your own risk.

3.2 User-Generated Content

  • You retain ownership of content you submit, but grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, display, modify, and distribute this content for the purpose of operating and improving the App.
  • You warrant that you have the rights to any content you submit and that it does not violate any laws or third-party rights.


4.0 Personal Information and Privacy

We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using the App, you agree that we can collect, use, and store your information as described therein.


5.0 Intellectual Property Rights

All trademarks, service marks, trade names, logos, and other intellectual property displayed in the App are owned by us or our licensors. You agree not to reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.


6.0 Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We make no warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or availability of the App or any information contained within it.


7.0 Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, including loss of data or profits, arising from or related to your use of the App.

Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the App is to stop using it.


8.0 Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Pawtect, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including attorneys’ fees) arising out of your use of the App, your content, or your violation of these Terms.


9.0 Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Any changes will become effective upon posting within the App. Your continued use after changes are posted signifies your acceptance of the revised Terms.


10.0 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which we operate, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of that jurisdiction.


11.0 Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms. Upon termination, all licenses and rights granted under these Terms will cease immediately.
